To be a Christian means to have a new life in Jesus Christ and to have a personal relationship with Him. The word “Christian” means “follower of Christ,” or “Christlike.” Being a Christian is an ongoing lifelong process of following the example of Jesus Christ in every area of our lives.

Being a Christian means that we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God and that He came to earth as a man and that He died for our sins. He took our place on the cross, so that we would not have to pay the penalty we deserve. It means confessing our sins and trusting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. It means asking Jesus to come into our hearts and began living through us. Because of what Jesus did, we have the power to live for Him on this earth (John 1:12), and the privilege of living with Him for eternity in heaven (John 3:16).

It means receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior and being born-again by the Spirit of God. Here is a prayer to ask Jesus into your life:

Dear Jesus, I come to You as a sinner. You said in Your Word, “...him that cometh to Me. I will in no wise cast out:” (John 6:37).  So I ask You now to take me in, and I thank You for it.

You said in Your Word, “...If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,  and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, THOU SHALT BE SAVED...For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved”: (Romans 10:9,13).

I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead. I do believe with my heart and I confess Jesus now as my Lord. I AM SAVED! Thank you JESUS!

After receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He wants us to die to our old lives and begin living our new lives in Him by following His example in every area our lives. We have to learn about Jesus through His Word, begin a personal relationship with Him through prayer, and live for Him by telling others about Him, going to church, worshiping him, fellowship with other believers, and loving Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and being, and strength.

Jesus also says to learn of Him in Matthew 11:29. We do this by studying God’s Word, the Bible. We are to study to show ourselves approved unto God, according to 2 Timothy 2:15.  Only by knowing who Jesus is and how He lived can we be followers of Him, live as He live, and walk as He walked (Ephesian 5:1).

Hebrews 10:25 tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together, meaning not to forsake going to church and fellowship with other believers.  We are also told in Mark 16:16-18 to tell others about Jesus, preach the Gospel, and to do the works of Jesus on this earth.

Most importantly, to live for Jesus we must maintain our personal relationship with Him. We do this by studying His Word, by worshiping Him, and by praying to Him. Jesus tells us in Luke 10:27 to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, 1st Thessalonians  5:17 says to pray without ceasing, and John 4:24 tells us to worship God in spirit and in truth. We consecrate our lives to Him, give ourselves to Him, no longer living for this world, but living for His truth. We present our bodies to Him as a living sacrifice and become conformed to his will, transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:1-2).

Being a Christian is about a personal relationship with Him, learning about Him so that we can live like He lived, and trusting and obeying Him in every area of our lives. It is a life of faith, accepting and receiving everything He has done for us so that we will be able to live for Him on this earth, and live with him for all eternity in heaven.

Love Divine Embassy of God Church Worldwide

Our Apostle David Livinglove Kwasau, President and Senior Pastor of Love Divine Embassy of God Church Worldwide in Nigeria, London, and the United States, has had an inspiring Revelation of the "LOVE" of God. This has caused deep compassion for humanity to flood his heart and a redefinition of the meaning and purpose of love. He believes knowing and walking in God's Divine Love will drastically reduce sin, sickness, diseases, and even poverty upon the earth! Wherever he ministers, God confirms His Word with signs, wonders, and miracles following!!

Vision and Calling:

In April 1984, Apostle David Livinglove Kwasau was led to a time of study, prayer, and fasting. In a vision, the Lord showed him a map of the World. He saw people of all races and colors in chains within this map. They seemed to be moving in a vicious circle of bondage. He cried out saying, "Oh Lord, is there no one to help these people?" The Lord simply replied, "Son, you are one of My end-time generals, I am sending you to the nations. Go preach and teach MY DIVINE LOVE. Set the captives free, heal the sick, and deliver those in bondage."

The Old and New Testaments of the Bible are the Word of God, written under full inspiration of the Holy Spirit. In it is revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men, the divine and final authority in all matters of Christian Life and conduct (II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:21; I Cor. 2:13).

The existence of one God, the Creator and preserver of all things Who is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit and whose revealed name is Jesus (Deut. 6:4; II Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:1-8; Matt. 28:19).

Is true God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross a spotless lamb as a sacrifice for our sins. He rose bodily from death, ascended into heaven and is now seated at the Father’s right hand as our High Priest and Advocate (Lk. 2:3-35; Jn. 1:29; Phil. 2:5-8; I Cor. 15:1-4; Heb. 1:3).

Is the Third Person of the God-head who regenerates, indwells, baptizes, empowers, fills and seals all true believers in Christ. His ministry is to glorify Christ in the lives of the believers and so he guides, comforts, empowers and bestows His fruit and Spiritual gifts to believers as tools for fulfilling the Great Commission (Jn. 3:3-6; I Cor. 6:19; 12:1-31; Eph. 5:19; Acts 1:8; 2:1-4, 38-39; 1 Cor. 14:1-4; Jn. 14:16-18; 26:15-26; 16:7-15; Heb. 2:4; Mk. 16:17).

Was created in the image and likeness of God, but in Adam all mankind fell into sin, and so without God’s grace all men are sinners, hopelessly sinful in themselves. But God provides salvation through Jesus Christ His only Son (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:10-23; 2:12-19).

Is the free gift of God, received by grace through faith in the redemptive and finished work of Christ and not works. This redemptive work of salvation includes freedom from sin, poverty, sickness and diseases, healings and deliverance from all satanic bondages (Eph. 2:8-9; Jn. 1:12; Rom. 10:9-10; Acts 10:38; I Jn. 3:8; III Jn. 2; Jn. 10:10; Acts 3:19).

The Christian is called to a life of separation form worldly lust and ungodliness unto a life of consecration and holiness in this present world through the power of the Holy Spirit. His lifestyle includes a constant study of the Word, prayer, fellowship with other Christians and propagating the Gospel message to the whole world in love, power and demonstration of the Spirit. The Christian will give account of and receive reward for his faithful service at the judgement seat Christ (Tit. 2:11-15; I Pet. 1:15-16; 2:9-12; Matt. 28:18-20; I Cor. 2:1-5; II Cor. 5:9-15).

The true Church (the universal Church) is composed of all those who are born again. Through this birth we are united together as members of the body and bride of Christ by the baptism of the Holy Spirit and water baptism by immersion in Jesus Name. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church. The local Church is intended to be a local organized representation of the body of Christ on earth and also works as a branch or local Church under Christ and its spiritual head or Presiding Pastor and govern its affairs as enshrined in this constitution and standards of the Bible in carrying out its four-fold functions:

  • A ministry to the Lord

  • A ministry to the brethren

  • A ministry to the world

(Eph. 1:22-23; 5:23-27; I Cor. 12:12-13; Acts 14:22-23; Phil 1:1; Acts 13:1-3; 2:41-47; 5:12-16; II Cor. 10:2-6).

Water baptism by immersion in Jesus Name and the Lord’s Supper instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ are key ordinances of the Church which are to be observed in this present age. (Acts 8:38-39; Rom. 6:1-11; I Cor. 11:23-29; Matt. 26:25-30; Acts 2:41-46).

Angels are innumerable company of sinless, spiritual beings created by God.  They are ministering Spirits or messengers to the heirs of salvation (believers).  Lucifer, a high ranking angel (now known as Satan) however, sinned through pride and was cast out of heaven. In all his moral failure, a great company of angels followed him and became demons, active agents of Satan. (Ps. 104:4; 34:7; 91:11-12; Heb. 1:13-14; 12:22; Isa. 14:12-17; Exo. 28:12-19; Luke 9:1; 10:18; Eph. 6:10-12; Jude 6-9)

It is the will of God His redeemed ones live a life of Sanctification and Holiness. (I Thess. 4:3 and Titus 2:11-14)

That it is the will of God for the believer to prosper in spirit, soul and body. That Godly and Kingdom prosperity is our portion (3 John2, 2 Chron. 26:3-5; Psalm 35:27; Psalm 112:1-10).

It is the will of God for the believer to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and with the evidence of speaking in tongues and in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as recorded in Acts 1:8; 2:1-4: Mark 16:17; John 7:37-39; Luke 11:11-13; I Cor. 12:1-12; 14:1-33.

We believe in tithes and offerings as an act of love, gratitude, obedience and to proof God’s power in supply (Mal. 3:7-10).

That is is the union of a man and a woman and that it is an institution set up and blessed by God. Marriage is binding for life except for fornication (Matt. 19:9) and if the unbelieving partner departs then I Cor. 7:15 applies.

RESTITUTION:We believe in restitution (Luke 19:8-9)

The personal imminent pre-millennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is the rapture of the believers and their blessed hope; the second literal and visible return of Jesus Christ as His first and His millennial reign with the saints. It is the bodily resurrection of the dead believers to everlasting joy with the Lord, and the unbelievers to judgement and everlasting conscious punishment (Tit. 2:13; I Thess. 4:13-18; I Cor. 15:51-52; Rev. 20:1-6; II Peter 3:10-13; I Cor. 12:22; Rev. 20:11-15; Matt. 25:46)
